A prolific member of the �鶹��ý community has been nominated to the Events Industry Council 2022 Board of Directors. 2020 �鶹��ý president Jennifer Glynn, CIS, CITP, was nominated to join this year’s board, alongside another close �鶹��ý collaborator Stephanie Harris, President of the Incentive Research Foundation. With �鶹��ý also a proud member of the Events Industry Council, we look forward to supporting Jenn, Stephanie, and the rest of this year’s Board!

Creative Group announced their acquisition of Strategic Meetings and Incentives in a January 31 release. �鶹��ý member Michele Hayes is quoted in the release, noting that she’s “excited to have found just the right buyer” and that “aligning with Creative Group will allow us to provide our clients with more business solutions, greater buying power, and increased resources."

The DMC Network announced in late January that 2021 �鶹��ý President Aoife Delaney, CIS, CITP, has been promoted to the role of Vice President, Business Development. A press release announcing Aoife’s new DMC Network role also highlighted the importance of strong industry and member relationships as we all chart a path to recovery. We could not be in stronger agreement, and look forward to helping all of our members forge new connections and strengthen ties in a busy year ahead!

It’s a perfect, heart-warming example of how business events can — and should — extend their legacy. Following on from the 2018 �鶹��ý Executive Summit in Rwanda, IMEX Group CEO and past �鶹��ý Foundation President Carina Bauer was recently asked by Visit Rwanda to name a new addition to the Igisha family of mountain gorillas. The new family member was eventually named Byiruka, which means “Flourish.”
